A subcontractor is the person or business hired to fulfil part of, or all of the obligations of another contract that’s responsibility is held by the main contractor. Generally subcontractors are signed up for projects in the building trade or within the engineering sector, although there has been a growing trend for subcontractors in the I.T sector of businesses. Many subcontractors work for the same company rather than multiple, or if multiple they tend to specialise in the same trade or skill.

The DJS Research construction team can provide subcontractor market research services, including a range of services such as customer satisfaction, new product testing, focus groups and face to face interviewing amongst other methodologies.

We understand how important subcontractors are to the construction sector, and we have successfully conducted research with them covering many different roles from tilers, to structural engineers through to IT managers to mention a few.
